March Madness

Here we are, half way through March, and I've finally had the time to sit down for some quality time with my blog.  It's been a busy month of report cards, road trips, birthday parties (both ones we've missed out on and been too), cold weather and now beautiful weather.  I probably have 101 more excuses as to why I didn't blog, but the most important thing is that I'm back in action!
I've tried to start planning theme days with the boys while I'm cooped up.  The freezing weather was getting me down and I felt like I was in a slump.  I spent a few hours planning out activities, fun foods, crafts, etc for each day with the boys.  It was a life saver.  Having a plan gave me purpose and something to really look forward to trying each day.  Love doing it!
Here is a little glimpse into our busy days so far this month... enjoy!
Nothing like a snowy blowy day to motivate us to build a fantastic fort in the living room.  The foam floor mats are perfect for making tunnels, but definitely not indestructible enough for a couple little boys!
Another adventure we tried was baking cookies together.  I put all the supplies into kid sized bowls and each one took a turn pouring in an ingredient.  Stirring was the hugest hit!
Seriously could be the very best cookies I've ever made... EVER!  I just needed a little toddler magic to make them that much better.  Best little helpers!
Sam working on his egg carton caterpillar.  Though the paint looks like pudding,  from the look on Sam's face after eating it, I can say if does not taste like pudding!  This has been a multi-day craft, but tons of fun.
Clearly nothing is more enjoyable than balloon bouncing.  We've had balloons out for almost the past month.  Yes, someone has bitten or broken one each day but with proper supervision and 'rules' (hahaha, I try really hard to give them rules) they play for many minutes.  Bouncing off heads, playing with static, working on catching, kicking, looking through and bum bouncing... never ending fun!
My little 80s punk!  My Aunt's surprise 49th birthday was 80s theme... and we rocked it!
The baby whisperer... crimped hair and all! (You can't see it well but Sam is wearing jean cut offs and Serry is wearing a shirt that says "No one puts baby in the corner".  Love it!
Kiss for my cousin!
New hair, but equally as rad!
I HAD to post this picture of my sister... look at her and then the baby... EXACT same face.   You are in for a wild ride, Breezer!!! :)
Gramma and 'Kitty' snuggles!
Love this guy... pulled off creepy 80s like he lived it!
Finally some warm weather!!! We have spent almost every waking moment possible playing outside in the past two days.  This little boy loves splashing and crashing!  Freezing fingers, wet pants, snow burned face... nothing stops him from wanting to be outside.  Can't even wait for Spring!
This is our snowman we made today... Sam was inspecting his mustache.  Mr PotatoHead pieces come in very handy for snowman building!

CMac Minis Boogie CCC day 16

As an annual tradition, my preggo and mat leave friends from school have done a dance at the Winter Assembly at school.  We did Santa Baby when we were all waddling pregnant ladies, last year we did a Santa Baby but with our babies in Baby Bjornes and this year we did I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus. Though the level of choreography has decreased, I'm sure the dance gets cuter and cuter as our little ones grow (OF course dancing toddlers is WAY WAY WAY cuter than a bunch of big bellied mommas!)

Thanks to Kaysi for organizing us!  Also, thanks to the other good spirited mom friends that carried on this tradition with us.
Sam getting ready for the big show.
The entrance... Santa (a pregnant friend at school) gave Sam a gift (from me) and it was ELMO!!!  He was pointing and waving saying "Hi Santa!!!"  Too cute.
5 CMac Mommies and their minis... I think this one is funny because we are all doing something different (especially Rhonda!!!)  Love these guys!
This is Sam dancing his pants off (literally!)  He was a star up there.  He danced, he waved, he said 'hi kids' and he blew them kisses.  Such a little performer!  I think Elmo made him brave.
Smiling at the kids.
A little sad that his big show is over... BYE kids!
The exit, Sam still waving.
The boys on the bench.
Smith, Jack, SANTA, Sammy and Mac... Sam can't even believe that he's sitting with all his guy pals and the prettiest Santa he's ever seen.  So weird, but none of the kids were afraid of her!
All the baby boogy - ers with Santa.
He was soooo happy.  This photo makes all the craziness of packing up both boys, trying to get them fed and napped, hustle and hurry of the assembly and nerves of getting up in front of the school worth it.  Just perfect.
Merry Christmas CMac mini friends... we love you!

Day 14 of CCC... Making up for lost time

Today Sam had some of his best buds over for a Elmo Saves Christmas PJ Party!  I was home with the boys today, so we worked hard to tidy (and untidy) and get ready for our friends to arrive.  It was a hit.  We crafted, played, read books, had a finger food supper, watched Elmo, danced and the list goes on.  It's hard to even imagine what Sam (or myself) would do without these ladies and their babies in our life.  They seem to be the gift that just keeps on giving!
Couple of buddies eatin' cheese!

Payton LOVES crafting
The early birds working on art before the rest of the guests arrive (or wake up!)
Sam LOVES to craft too!
Smith is up and ready to party.
CHEESE!
Apparently Kaysi tells a great Christmas story!
One-handed downward dog
This is where the band first met and when these kiddos are rich and famous, I'll have the proof that it all started in my basement!
Picture Perfect... love these guys
Just a close up of the group shot above... too cute not to zoom in on.
I love this blooper picture... poor poor Parker!
Parker and her beautiful entourage!

Sam's wonderful part time family!
The lovely Farrell girls ( 2 out 3 anyway, isn't so bad)
Mommy and her monkey!
Entirely captivated by Elmo Saves Christmas... amazing!
Elmo seems just as interested in us!
Here is the mess left behind... slightly different than it would have looked after a party 5 years ago, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Teddy Bear's Tea Party

A wonderful play date at Sam's friend Parker's house.  A teddy bear tea party... it's days like today that make us grateful that we have have amazing, thoughtful, fun mommies in our life to plan parties for the kidlets!

"When are our friends going to get here, Parker?"
Tea-partying!
The youngest tea party baby (besides the one baby belly!)
My handsome boy enjoying Parker's cool toys!
Chillin' with Baby A
This necklace was a big hit... I ended up wearing it for a long time forgetting that Sam had put it on me.  Sam and Jack liked the same toys, at the same time... the EXACT same time.  Needless to say, sharing is a very very hard thing to teach.
Another big hit was this baby bouncy chair... pretty sure Sam was WAY over the weight and size recommendation!  He LOVED it though.  Big baby in a little chair!
Our beautiful mother-daughter hostess team (just missing their partner in crime Auntie Cori!)
Six little monkeys jumping on the couch!
For some reason I remember these group shots being much much much easier to take a year ago...
Princess P makes Sam wait his turn.
Thanks for the wonderful day Kaysi, Parker and Cori... soooooo much fun.  Maybe we could make it a tradition!?!?! :)
