Guess Who We Spotted at Airdrie Fest?!?!

We decided that we'd take a family outing to Airdrie Fest this weekend.  Apparently, it's what all our nieghbours were up to too!! So nice to see the Ross Family and the Farrell girls out on the town.  Airdrie Fest is still a work in progress, but with great friends and cute baby antics anything can be fun!

First stop, a seat in a fire truck!!!  So many things to look at Sam could barely sit still.  Quite an amazing machine!
Next we found Parker by the Pick-a-Duck!  Sam showing her which duck to pick.
Both kids picked a duck (with tons of help) and got a sticker.  They became obsessed with their stickers.
Mommy and baby train ride... saw all the sights of Airdrie Fest!
Love at the chalk station!
This is more funny than the picture does justice... Sam was chasing Parker with his hoop.  Just as she stepped onto the grass (and to safety) Sam hit the curb with his hoop and BOUNCED back.
He thought it was soooooo hilarious!
P sneakin a mini donut!
A whole herd of beautiful Farrell women arrived!!!  Who knew it would be such a hit!

One Muddy Day...

I love that I still get to spend every other day with Sam... a perfect day at our house...

Happiest when dirty or wet, as long as he can be outside!!!

Hi-ho, hi-ho! It's off to daycare I go!

I left early to work this morning.  Of course Sam was already up and ready to send me off on my day.  There is nothing sweeter in the whole world than when he says to me "Bye Mom", then he does a big wave.  Today he added "La oo"... I la him too!  Choking back tears I headed out on my day knowing my little sweetie would have the best day.
Shaun got him ready this morning.  Here are his first day of daycare photos.  I can't believe how grown up he looks.

Dressed and ready to go
That back pack is as big as him!
Too hard to stay standing with this thing on.
Ok Dad!  Let's go!!!

Just another Sunday Morning...

One of Sam's many talents: stacking the food he takes out of the fridge.  Great distracting activity to allow me to make lunch in peace.

A Triplet Birthday

We spent yesterday traveling to Red Deer for three of our favorite little Central Alberta boys' birthday.  It was perfect: color coded decorations, food, gifts, boys!!!  The treats were AMAZING (everything homemade, of course), the kids were busy and happy and it was so great to be able to celebrate this first huge year with the Alexander triplets parents. Way to go John and Stacey... the two of you were meant to raise multiples!!!  Now for year two... so much more fun to come!!!

Out of all my pictures this is the only one where I have Sam and one of the boys faces even remotely close to looking at the camera.  They are busy busy busy little men!!!  This is birthday boy Lucas ready to race Sam down his new  slide!
Just one example of a homemade treat that matched the blue, green, orange theme.  Shaun was in this picture too, but I had to crop him because he looked CANDY drunk!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOYS!

Two Little Monsters... day one

I have officially returned to work.  I've got a really great gig... I'm at the school every other day and home with Sam on my days off.  When I'm at work, Sam is with my teaching partner and when I'm home I have her little man.  School is school and I have confidence that I'll find my footing and be just fine.  Needless to say, after my first "day off", I realized I'm going to be one very busy momma.  Here is the only clear (all others are blurry as it's tough to keep these two still) picture of my first day at home with the boys.  So much fun in store!!!

S for Smith and S for Sam... believe it or not, Smith is 8 months YOUNGER than Sam.  I very lovingly refer to him as the Tank!!!  He's as big if not bigger than Sam.
Two beautiful faces.  Brothers from different mothers!  Let the (un)sibling rivalry begin!

My Daddy Is my Hero

I'm sure anyone with kids knows that look... the look of when a little boy sees his dad doing something and decides there is no one cooler in the world.  This is the way Sam looks at Shaun.  Sam's newest love is Shaun's skateboard.  He could spend hours getting on and off (we only let him 'skate' on the grass).  It's gotten to the point that when we are inside, EVERYTHING flat becomes a skateboard.  I think I'm going to need to invest in boxes and boxes of band-aids and polysporin... this little boy is a dare devil!

My dad is so cool...
I'm trying my best to get on this thing..
Ooops!
A little trick (and he didn't even fall off after!)
GRAB!
Very very very happy.  One Saturday I'm going to wake up to a quiet house and realize both my guys are down at the skatepark.  Can't even wait!
