Spring Break 2013

Spring break seemed to strike early this year, but fortunately we got a bout of beautiful weather to spend much of the week outside.  It was a great bunch of time off that I got to catch up with old friends, spend time with new(er) friends, get some serious work done and hang out with my little man.
Easter out at my Grandparents' farm... photo of Sammy with his cousin and Gramma Bee and Grandpa Trev.
Sledding out at the Connolley's... best sled hill ever!
ZOOMING down the hill
Daddy and Sam catching a lift up the hill on the 'eskidoo'!
Burning...
and nearly crashing... good job not hitting the bushes boys!
CRAZY GT snowracer!

Sam mini-sledding alone!
Checking out the penguins at the zoo with Logan and Sam.  They were so cool.  You could actually probably reach out and touch them swimming by if you want.  When they jump on their little ledge into the water we got splashed... on the face... little bit cool and little bit gross.
The little monkeys hanging out watching the gorillas.
Meerkat watchers
Perfect day for a hand holding stroll through the zoo... soooo sweet!

Little splash in the puddle together.  Love these two.
I recommend this board game for anyone with pre-school kids... it's so fun and so silly.  We had a fun family game day and this was the best.
Easter Bunny arrived and left some goodies...
Even Bunny and Baby Jaguar got an Easter treat!
Not much cooler than a giant TMNT easter egg!
Airdrie hosts an easter egg hunt on Easter day free for all the kids.  These are pre-egg hunt events.  This is a balloon pump and pop.
Needed a little extra muscle power!
Strong boy!

Horse riding!
Then the Egg Hunt... they drop over 100 000 eggs all over the park.  I'm certain no one went home empty handed.  Such a cool Easter tradition.
Sweet little egg hunter!
We found one of our little buddies at the bottom of the bouncy house slide.
The Easter bunny brought some new cool tub crayons.  The made an absolutely beautiful mess of our tub and we discovered the are a little tougher to get off the tub and child than our previous markers.
We also went on two breakfast dates, a mall walk, hours of fun at Tommy K Play, 'helped' Daddy with construction in the basement, a Greek birthday party, the playground and lots of playing.  Thank you spring break for giving me time with my friends to be rejuvenated and catch up.  I have the very best, most funny and genuine friends... they are good for my soul.  Thank you spring break for time playing with other crazy little kids and seeing Sammy play like a 'big kid'.  Thank you spring break for allowing me to catch up with work and life and for giving me the energy and rest to take on the next 3 months.  And thank you spring break for hours and hours with my little family.  I love no one more.
